Balsam
The Balsam scent is like taking a walk in the forest. Balsam essential oil has a pleasant woodsy scent and is known to protect energy. It also eases the nervous system so muscles can relax and the breath can deepen.
A safe harbor for small birds like chickadees, balsam, along with spruce, pine, larch, birch, aspen, and other firs, make up boreal forests which is considered the world’s largest land biome. The North American Boreal Forest through northern Canada and Alaska represent 25% of the world’s last remaining unspoiled forests.*
Balsam fir was used by Indigenous tribes for its antimicrobial properties and was commonly used on wounds. The Chippewa First Nation used the sap as a pain reliever for arthritis and many other ailments.
