Mugwort
Mugwort has been used medicinally and in food for thousands of years. The Romans planted mugwort along roadways where it was available to put in shoes to alleviate the aching feet of people walking by, and Anglo-Saxon tribes believed it was one of the nine sacred herbs from Odin, war-god and protector of heroes. Mugwort is also used in acupuncture to stimulate Qi by placing the burning plant directly on the needles, a technique called Moxibustion.
