Tallow
Tallow is clarified fat from around the internal organs of an animal. Unlike the fat cut off of muscle, the texture is similar to that of butter. Tallow is auto-immune friendly and naturally hypoallergenic. Tallow’s nourishing properties are appropriate for even the most sensitive skin including eczema, cold sores, and scarring.

WHY TALLOW
We use tallow in our products because it is high in vitamins and minerals and is easily absorbed by the skin. It is harvested in a way that is more sustainable than plant-based oils and is more hydrating.
HOW IS IT HARVESTED
We use only grass-fed, pasture-raised cattle as our tallow source. The tallow is removed from the area around the internal organs, and would otherwise go to waste. From each animal, around 18-20 pounds of tallow can be harvested, which would probably last a person who uses tallow regularly a lifetime. There is also no water used in the rendering process.
HOW IS IT USED
Unlike most creams and lotions, tallow goes further and stays with you longer. Expect to find yourself using less than your normal cream.
